SERBIAN "GAME OF THRONES": These Serbs live like in the Middle Ages, see why! (PHOTO)

"My spine is numb, but I need to take water from that source. We bring drinking water and cattle from the surrounding villages, in canisters of 1,000 liters. I, now, in 2015, live like my mother and grandmother, with yoke on my shoulders "

Villagers of Pajsijević, in the municipality of Knic, have not had water for decades as soon as the first branch of the sun arrives, even though they are only a kilometer from the accumulation of Gruza, with which the whole of Kragujevac with 200,000 residents receives their water.

Children in the village Pajsijević fantasize about plastic swimming pools and in the meantime draw water for hygiene. Women from Pajsijević carry water up to 150 meters up the hill on wooden yoke, on their shoulder, just likes their mothers and grandmothers did. Yoke - is a wooden pole, like the handle hoes, on whose two ends indentations where the snake handles buckets with water.

Kukujevci- village with no unemployed

Due to decades of problems with water, many farmers have "crushed" barns, and in the gardens of their birth, "God willing," there is no drought. Yards in photographs  from Telegraf looked like this the other day, the question today is what they look like.

Pajsijević villagers were once supplied by water from the village water supply sources of Grujovac, built in 1961. When a few years ago the children started to become sick, villagers realized that that water was only good for washing clothes and bathing.

A year ago in Serbia something happened that astonished world experts!

Olga Jovanovic from Pajsijević has three grandchildren. In the 21st century, this woman fetches water for washing clothes 150 meters down the hill and up the hill.  Then carries the water in two buckets, on a yoke.

You should not pour water into these bottles, you will poison yourself!

-"My spine hurts, but I need to take water from that source. We bring drinking water and cattle from the surrounding villages, in canisters of 1,000 liters. I, now, in 2015, live like my mother and grandmother, with yoke on my shoulders " - says the woman.

Ljubica Pantović and her husband Jablan due to water sold five cows and use their barn for storagee because they are too old to haul water for the cattle.

- As we grew older we sold cow by cow, the last one, last year. I have a washing machine, but it serves no purpose. I feel miserable when in my 80 years I have to do laundry by hand - says the old woman.

City of Pancevo for six days without water, citizens supplied from water tanks!

Tomislav Pantović from Pajsijević makes a living from agriculture, cultivated plums, apricots, apples, tomatoes. For apricots only, he needs 2,000 liters of water daily. He has this water from collected rain?! He made an artificial pool in the bay on his property.

- I made a pool two meters deep and six feet wide, and it collects rainwater. If it wasn't for it, I could grow food only for my needs - says the man.

Dragan Vujovic, president of the council of the local community Pajsijević says that most people in the village have a fountain in their courtyard and some sort of water during the winter, but as soon as the sun branches, water on the mountain disappears. The dam reservoir of Gruža is a kilometer from the house and the village  is thirsty, says Vujovic.

He explains that in 2011 a project was completed for a new pipeline through Pajsijević. It turned out that about 75 square meters of land, where would the plumbing would "go" belongs to the "Serbian forests". Villagers addressed them with a letter and they sent them a price list.

- We nearly almost fainted, all of us. That part of rural meadows is estimated to an amount as the land at Terazije. The problem is that these high places only place "Functional" for the pool plumbing. We have not surrendered, and are still looking for a solution - says Vujovic.

A kilometer and a half of water pipes, which would be directly connected to Gružansko lake, would solve the problem of the Pajsijević village. The whole project will cost about 20 million.
