The only Serbian in the worlds that makes dolls come alive, with her pieces she will present her self for the first time on the show organized in France, where this girl from Obrenovac lives now
Irena Petrovic (43) is the only Serbian in the world that makes dolls come to live, actually, makes them look like in a way that there is no difference between the real baby and the doll. She will participate in the show for the first time where she will present her art works.

The show with so called Reborn dolls under the name "There once was a fairy" will be held on 5th and 6th November this year in the North of France, in the city Thiant.
Irena said for Telegraf that she is very excited for this show, but it is all positive stage fright.
- I thought that i will never have an exhibit - said our interviewee, born in Obrenovac, and she left it in 2004.
Today she lives in France. There she started making dolls three years ago and now they are very sought of.
- Money from the tickets of the show will be send to the Association for the fight against multiple sclerosis - said Irena Petrovic for Telegraf while she is preparing for the next setup.
Our interviewee was only 12 when she glued hair to her bald doll. At that moment, however, she imagined that she would become a doctor, but she became a male hairdresser and she started working with the dolls three years ago. It was enough to see one doll made in Reborn technique.
She started creating real dolls that have "real" thinning hair of a newborn, bleary eyes, wrinkled baby skin, baby butt, hands... She makes two of them a month.
- It takes two weeks to make one. It takes 20 hours to paint it, and 40 hours to stitch hair, almost 80 hours of work is required for finished doll - said this artist.
Since she started doing this hobby, Irena Petrovic came across many negative comments, shocked and unreasonable people's attitudes. Namely, these dolls are compared to dead or stuffed babies. Despite that, she continues to do this hobby which is very fulfilling and she loves doing.
