One of the former commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, was arrested on January 4 at the airport in Basel after Interpol warrant from Serbia on suspicion that in 1998 and 1999 he committed war crimes against Serbs and other non-Albanians.

French court released him on 12th January to wait for the decision about extradition on freedom. Haradinaj appeared in front of court on 1st February in Colmar when the new hearing was scheduled for 9th February.

Haradinaj was trialed for war crimes in front of Hague tribunal, and he was freed from all charges in 2012.

Prosecution for War Crimes in Serbia, according to media reports, has expanded indictment against Haradinaj, because there were new evidence of his responsibility for war crimes in Kosovo that were not subject to review by the Hague tribunal.
