Belgrade received musical fountain: Classic and famous hits will be heard twice a day

Musical fountain began working today, and the citizens are choosing the songs that will be played. From the cabinet of the mayor Sinisa Mali exclusively for our portal

- So far it is known that the songs of Lola Novakovic and Djordje Marjanovic will be heard, as well as the anthem "Boze Pravde" - said from the office of the mayor.

Musical accompaniment will be made out of world famous songs, and later, water will rotate in the rhythm of Serbian songs.

- The application "Belgraders" will offer a choice of genre, artists, and tracks, and citizens will be able to choice. The repertoire will be constantly changed - said from the cabinet.

A song "Belgrade" will be heard on the roundabout from Djordje Marjanovic, "Billie Jean" Michael Jackson, then another song of Metalica and even famous poem by Pavaroti.

Music on this fountain, which construction costed 1.8 million euros, will be played twice a day, during work days, from 9 to 11 AM and from 20 to 22 pm, and on 9 to 12 am and from 18 to 22 pm during weekend.

300 lights will form effects in the central pool of 804 square meters, and 75 in the round one, and central vertical water stream will reach 16 meters.

Works on the fountain, which is in the middle of roundabout on Slavija lasted 6 months.

Citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy in music fountain during winter as well because it will work thanks to the built in heaters which will work up to -20 degrees.

Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali was present on the general rehearsal, city manager Goran Vesic, Andreja Mladenovic, Municipal Police Chief Nikola Ristic, and a large number of visitors.

According to Sinisa Mali, Belgrade will be recognized by the fountain.
