It has been full 10 years since the tragic death of the "Balkan Angel". Macedonian nightingale Tose Proeski (1981 -2007) has left a huge void behind him, and the mention of his name causes sorrow and sadness. Many say that there are no more singers like him, nor people like him...

All week behind us was in memory of Toshe Proeski.
Just like like his colleagues and fans around the region keep a memory about him alive. He held his last concert on 5th October in 2007, on the square in Skopje when manifestation "Stary Sky" was held, where his new song "Light the Flame" was promoted.
People of Belgrade have gathered a bit earlier in the honor of Tose Proeski, to go together to Tose birthplace, Krusevo. Traditional commemoration in the Church of Saint Sava was held on Wednesday, October 11th.
The sad anniversary of Tose's death is marked all around the Croatia, and ultra-marathon is starting from Nova Gradiska at 17:00h and the last destination is Krusevo. The runners will honor Tose Proeski by this year's marathon like they did all years before that.
Tose Proeski has died in the serious car crash on 16th October 2007 at Nova Gradiska in Croatia, while he was traveling to Zagreb. The accident happened around 6:20, he was 26 years old when he lost his life.
The death of "Balkan Elvis Presley", as many call him now, has united the entire region back then. He was remembered by his goodness, humanity, kindness, big heart, sincere smile and being special.

Tose's famous words "Ve Sakam Site" (I love you all) are resonating the region 10 years later, and this humble man, one and only Balkan Angel, will remain forever in our hearts.
