After the phenomenal organization of the European Indoor Athletic championship this year, Serbia is a candidate for the World Championship of athletes
The Athletics Federation of Serbia will present its nomination for the organization of the World Athletics Championship in 2020 on Monte Carlo on November 24th.

After the phenomenal organization of the European Indoor Athletic championship this year, where they received congratulations from the heads of the European and World Athletic Federation and, in particular, Sebastian Coe, President of the IAAF, there is no doubt that our alliance is a serious candidate for the organization.
Practically, Belgrade and Serbia, through the organization of the European Championship, had some sort of general rehearsal for this competition and showed everyone that it can be at a high level.
It is good that AFS has great support from Belgrade, Serbia, Serbian government and the Ministry of youth and sport and with all that, we will have the wind in our backs on this meeting in Monte Carlo.
After the general rehearsal on November 24th, IAAF will reach the decision about the host of this championship, and the hosts of other five championships.
Other candidates are Turkey, Poland, and China.
