Snow in May on Balkans: Blizzard in Dalmatia, Biokovo also became white, the neighbors are freezing on 0 degrees

After several summer days, the temperature in Dalmatia dropped by more than 15 degrees, and the rain which was falling in Biokovo turned to snow.

The sudden cold weather has engulphed the entire region, and after the last week's 30 degrees, the temperature in Dalmatia dropped by 15 degrees.

The temperature on the coast was just 12 degrees in the afternoon hours on Tuesday.

The drop in temperature was followed by rain and thundershowers, and a waterspout was recorded in the middle of the Adriatic sea. 

The snow returned to Dalmatia. The air temperature on St. Jura was 0 degrees around 20:00h and the rain turned to snow.

Snow is possible on the tops of Dinara and Kamesnica mountains.
