There is an original church-barn in the remote Mionica village Planinica, dedicated to Mary, mother of Jesus. This church has a very unusual destiny because it was moved 4 times in total.

It can be found in the historical documents that the church has been relocated in the 18th and 19th century, and that wasn't so unusual back then. The church-barn was in the village of Velisac, where, according to the traditions, Serbs had killed several Turkish soldiers. In their fear that the Turks will take vengeance by burning their holy shrine, a group of Serbian people decided to move the church to another village.

The church was rescued and its new place was the village of Popadic. After a few years, it was moved from the village of Popadic to Ribnica where it served as a chapel for some time. It late 1905 the church was relocated for the fourth time ti Planinica. It was reassembled to its original state and it hasn't moved to this day.

During the World War I, the church-barn was used by the Austria-Hungarian soldiers as a hospital where they treated their soldiers. The soldiers who couldn't make it were buried on the hill in the vicinity of the church.

The building has western and northern portals and three window openings. The windows in the church have their original frame. There are south and west doors on the church decorated with rosettes.

The door is colored with bright blue to emphasize the surface which gives the special charm to the church.
