Murderer Dragan Djuric was sentenced to 40 years in prison
Tijana Juric (15) was killed in the night between 25 and 26 July 2014, and for 12 days the family and Serbia hoped that the girl was still alive. However, on August 7, her body was found in the desolate waste site in the settlement of Conoplja in Sombor municipality.

A child, who helped everybody in their toughest moments, was kidnapped by Dragan Djuric (38) in Bajmok.
Tijana gave strength to everybody with her seriousness, and the monster ended her life in the most brutal way. Djuric hit the little angel with a car, then he beat her, he sexually abused her and then he buried her in the landfill.
The memory of a girl who became a symbol of suffering is not fading away. Tijana's father Igor Juric mentions that the time cannot heal their pain and he is not giving up on his fight to increase the safety of children and for the killers to receive even greater punishment.
Igor started a foundation Tijana Juric and he is using every moment to invite the most responsible people in the country to do something and the deaths of Tijana, Ivana, Tamara and Andjela, and the death of any child, could get some meaning, to get some sense out and to prevent anything similar from happening ever again.
The body of Tijana Juric was found around midnight on August 7, 2014.
The murderer Dragan Juric was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Djuric, born in Zrenjanin, lived in the village Aleksa Santic, near Bajmok. This butcher, weighing more than 100 kilograms and taller than two meters, worked in a butcher in Belgrade, where he made sausages in peace, without a shred of remorse, at the moment when six police officers came to arrest him.
He took them to the improvised landfill, along the local road that leads to Svetozar Miletic towards Conoplja, 23 km from the place where Tijana was kidnapped in Bajmok, where he showed coldbloodedness.

Djuric admitted the brutal crime and is placed in prison in Padinska Skela ever since. Only his mother visits him.
