Veselin Jevrosimovic: Get out of the Serbian athletics, everybody who participated in the scam!

President of the Athletics Federation of Serbia Veselin Jevrosimovic reacted sharply after the scandal that took place at the meeting in Sremska Mitrovica.

Namely, a shot of the spear throw caused suspicion that Vedran Samac didn't break the national record, but that the judges performed a one of a kind scam. 

- It was obvious that there were irregularities. The Athletic Federation received this video first and we immediately released it into media. We formed a commision and according to AFS rules, the referees were immediately suspended. They will hardly ever have the opportunity to be on any competition - Jevrosimovic told Tanjug and added:

- We are waiting for the statements of all actors and we will then make a decision about the record and whether it will be annulled. This is also a message to everybody that we will not tolerate this kind of behavior and I can say that whoever participated in a potential scam to GET OUT OF ATHLETICS.

There is no room for cheating in the queen of sports. And that should be explained loudly.

- We will make it very clear that our sport is not a place where these things will happen. Whoever thinks differently, the message is clear - Get out of Athletics - the first man of Serbian athletics Veselin Jevrosimovic stressed once again.

AFS announced that Sekulic and Kresojevic abused their referee position at the athletic competition and they broke the Rules of athletic competitions of IAAF and AFS of the Disciplinary Rules and the Code of Ethics for AFS.

The aforementioned tandem of referees, along with their colleagues Predrag Jednak, the technical manager of the competition Bojan Komlenic and the representative of the Athletics Club Srem Drago Maricic, have a five-day deadline to submit written statements about their participation and their view of the event.
