President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic visited Border Police headquarters at Cetingrad last night, and she was assured in high professionalism and good equipment of the Croatian Army after visiting the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the place Buhaca.

World linguists confirmed: Bosnian, Montenegrin, and Croatian are variations of the Serbian language

She expressed an impression that the international border with BiH is very well guarded and she expressed content over good cooperation between Croatian and BiH police because they react quickly in the cases of migrant conflicts or during illegal attempts to cross the border.

- I am convinced in the professionalism of the police, in good equipment thanks to the European Union. There are various aircraft and thermal vision cameras and the whole green border is covered well - Grabar-Kitarovic estimated and she also examined the part of the border with a thermal vision camera, which allows the movement of people to be clearly visible in the dark.

According to the Croatian portal Index, the president was attacked by a swarm of hornets, and she saw for herself what are the dangers lurking and that create problems for the police.

Croatia has a 1.000 km border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kitarovic said that the problem of migrations and illegal attempts to cross the border will continue.

She assessed that the conduct of the Croatian police at the border is fully in line with EU legislation, both in the preservation of the border and in the treatment of migrants who try to illegally enter Croatia from BiH.

It is stated that a reason for the field visit were numerous complaints by Croatian citizens with a green border, concerned about the increased number of illegal migrations and fear for their safety.

She also said she had received a request to help Velika Kladusa in preventing the establishment of a large migrant center in that city.

She said that they believe that it is good to concentrate a large number of migrants in one place and asks for more small centers to be built in BiH in the larger area, precisely because of the danger of a rise in crime and attacks on people and property.

- This is the external border of the European Union and the Schengen border, and with good border control quality we are showing readiness for the Schengen extension to Croatia - said Grabar-Kitarovic.
