HEARTBREAKING STORY: Little girl (8) 'lives' in Serbian trains with just a dog in her arms (PHOTO)

- I will never give it away and I take it everywhere I can. It has been with me for 2 months now and it was just a tiny doggy when I found it all hungry and alone on the street. It couldn't see and I found a way to warm up a milk to feed it. I do it every day, all by myself - this cute eight-year-old girl told us

Belgrade Train Station is a place where every morning large number of people gathers to start their journey both through Serbia and abroad.

Some carry huge travel bags, others carry bulky carton boxes and some just pass through, hands in their pockets.

Among that sea of faces, we spotted one beautiful and innocent, the one that instantly drew our attention to it.

A little girl of around seven or eight was running towards the one of the carriages while she was firmly pressing some tiny fluffy creature to her chest. Fascinated by the scene we were witnessing, we had to know who she was and where was she heading to, so we followed her.

Upon entering the crowd we lost the site of her, so we immediately embarked on the train that was heading towards Skopje. We were greeted by the nice conductor and we asked him whether he saw a little girl that was holding some creature in her arms?

- I saw some kid, no creatures with her, though. There she is, second carriage, third or fourth cabin. Just go straight ahead, you cannot miss her- a man told us.

We did as he said and went down the long carriage isle, checking the cabins, looking for her.

Then we saw her.

She was sitting still, head slightly bowed. We knocked before entering. She immediately smiled at us.

- Hi. I am Marija, and this is Teddy - she said. She lifted the jacket from her lap and revealed this beautiful puppy.

- It is my best friend and we go everywhere together - she went on, and then said she was from Aleksinac and that she often visits the capital, spends a lot of time in trains and therefore saw almost all of Serbia.

Marija is the youngest among five children and she still doesn't go to school. She cannot remember the last time she saw her brothers and sisters.

- I can't go to school. No time for that. I always travel. It's warm in here and Teddy and I are just fine.

We found it strange that she was alone , so we asked her where her mother was, and why they weren't traveling together.

- She is back home. She is sick. But I have Teddy to take care of me - said the little girl.

While she was speaking, restless Teddy was jumping all over the seat, biting her jacket and licked her hands. We wanted to know more about this wonderful friendship so marija told us that she loves Teddy more than anything else in the world.

- It is my soul. I will never give it away, and I take it everywhere I can. It has been with me for 2 months now and it was just a tiny doggy when I found it all hungry and alone on the street. It couldn't see and I found a way to warm up a milk to feed it. I do it every day, all by myself- she told us.

Marija cruises our country every day and she brings her Teddy along. The two of them constantly go from one place to another and enjoy the time they spend together.

However, what worries the most is the fact that there is a eight-year-old girl wandering the country on her own, with just a few months old puppy by her side.
