Elections on April 24, unity is key to better future

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has said that Serbia will probably hold its early elections on April 24 2016.

- Within two days from now, the government will submit a substantiated proposal to the Serbian president - Vučić told Radio Television of Serbia, adding that the president would decide when the elections would be held and the date would probably by April 24.

Vučić stressed that the elections would be "a referendum" - on whether Serbia would be a modern European country by 2020 or go back into the past of internal conflicts and bad relationships in the region.

- Serbia needs to be united. I want us to set clear goals for the citizens, and our task is to show the path to the future that we should take and adhere to over the next four years - said Vučić.
