MASS ARRESTS OF DEALERS IN SERBIA: Watch the lightning police operation "THORN"! (VIDEO)

Members of the Ministry of internal affairs - service for combating organized crime, in cooperation with the prosecutor's office for organized crime, in the process of the operation "Thorn", they have cut the chain of marijuana smuggling and confiscated around 16 kilos of this drug and arrested organized 6 member criminal group.

Arrested A.A. (44) from Subotica, A.N. (45) from Veliko Trnovo, V.A. (46) from Veliko Trnovo, B.L. (48) from Subotica, J.J. (27) from Novi Knezevac and S.B. (47) from Subotica, because of reasonable suspicion that they have committed criminal act of gathering for conducting criminal act and unauthorized production and placing on the market of the narcotic drugs.

They are charged, with intention of gaining illegal material gain, from January 2016 till 22 Jun 2016 smuggled marijuana from Albany over Kosovo.

Police caught the suspects during the transfer of around 5 kilos of marijuana in the cottage near Subotica, and while searching the house of S.B. they have found 8 more kilos.

Total value of this narcotic drug which was confiscated is around 20.000 euros on the illegal market. 

So far in this action in February 2016, in the Belgrade area, 2 people were arrested, suspected to be the members of the separate criminal group, which was supplied, presumably by the former mentioned criminal group. On that occasion, 13 kilos of marijuana was discovered intended for street selling on the illegal markets of Serbia.

By order of the deputy prosecutor for organised crime in Belgrade, the suspects are held in custody for 48 hours, after that they will be taken to the prosecution for organized crime  with the criminal charges.

The operation "Thorn" has been realized with the total confiscation of around 29 kilos of the narcotic drugs and arresting of 8 persons.
