On the Nis highway, 2 kilometers after the exit for Kragujevac towards Nis, there was a chain crash involving several vehicles.

The collision most probably happened due to the thick smoke that is all over the road, since someone was burning low plants.

 

Photos appeared on the internet, and it is presumed that they are from the scene. It can be seen that many vehicles participated in the crash. One person died in the chain crash, sever vehicles participated in the collision; trucks, cars, van, and a pickup truck and the police, firefighter and ambulance teams are on the scene.

A reader of "Telegraf", Darko, has sent us a photo. As he said, is a van driver himself and he was shocked by the scene in front of him.

- I have seen a body in the seat, in the crushed cabin, and the two firefighters trying to get him out. There is a standstill in traffic - Darko said.

However, thick smoke created so much problem that certain drivers decided to into the opposite direction and to go back, which caused additional danger.

This is not the first time that a thick smoke due to the burning of short grass and plants has caused a chain crash. That happened on October 4th as well, near Leskovac.
