Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic gave statements to the media yesterday in Paris, where she attended the marking of the hundredth anniversary of the ceasefire in the First World War.

She said in the media that she had numerous meetings with world leaders, but also with French President Emmanuel Macron.

However, perhaps the most interesting statement she made in the interview for N1 was about her talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

- We talked briefly with Putin about the events in southeast Europe, I reiterated my invitation to come to the Republic of Croatia and I conveyed greetings of my daughter since they spoke quite long during the World championship - Kolinda revealed to the N1 reporter.

To recall, Kolinda went to watch several games of Croatian national team during the World Championship, including the finals with France, and the quarterfinals with Russia.

Her unconventional reactions to the victories of the Croatian team, including the visit to the locker room after the game, jumping in the VIP room next to Puting, hugging of players of both teams and kissing of the trophy, became a hit on social networks all over the world.

Besides Putin, Kolinda said that she spoke with the president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, American president Donald Trump, and many other leaders...
