Assembly of so-called Kosovo adopted the law today which will enable the transformation of Kosovo Security Forces into the "Kosovo Army". On today's session, the MP's voted on the laws on Kosovo Security Force, the Kosovo Defense Ministry, and the security services. The name of the forces will remain unchanged since that requires changing the Constitution and the Serbian List is against that, without whose votes it is not possible to vote on constitutional changes.

Kosovo Security force assumes the role of the army

Members of the Assembly so-called Kosovo unanimously adopted a draft law on the Kosovo Security Force. With 107 votes in favor, without opposition and without reservation, this law was adopted.

Brnabic: A difficult day

Prime minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said today that "this is not the day which contributes to the stability in the region", and that Serbia will continue on the path of peace and stability.

Brnabic said at the press conference that this is a hard day for her and thinks that without a stable region, we will not have a stable Serbia or any other country.

Assembly of so-called Kosovo with 106 votes in favor adopted the Draft Law on the Ministry of Defense. 

4 contingents are deployed on a bridge that divides the northern and southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday that Pristina has no right under an international act to form an army and that KFOR has been given the mandate of the UN under resolution 1244 to disarm all Albanian armed formations.

Vucic, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, will visit several units in the Land Security Zone, as well as in the south of Serbia in the next 72 hours, the Ministry of Defense announced last night.

As it is stated, Vucic is accompanied by Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin and the Chief of the General Staff of Serbian Army, Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilovic.
