Haradinaj "threatens" Federica Mogherini: You will lose the dialogue if you keep connecting it with taxes

The Prime Minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, Ramush Haradinaj, reiterated last night that taxes on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will not be suspended and he warned the chief of the European Diplomacy Federica Mognerini that she will "lose the dialogue" Pristina-Belgrade if she keeps connecting it with the taxes.

In an interview for KTV television, he ruled out the opportunity to vote on the agenda at a government session, in which there would be a proposal to abolish the taxes.

- I do not need to play games, we're all adults. I asked Veseli, Ljimaj to respect me while I was on this assignment. I accepted their confidence in the government of this country, the proposal was not passed illegally, it was a unanimous decision. You can not change the decision of the government without the will of the prime minister - said Haradinaj.

He added that despite pressure from the allies of Kosovo, the US and the EU, he did not change the attitude about taxes, and said that Kosovo is ready to consider their suspension only if Serbia and BiH recognize its independence.

At the same time, he said to the high representative of EU for foreign politics and security Federica Mogherini that, if she keeps connecting the dialogue of Belgrade and Pristina with the taxes, she will lose the dialogue.

- Her actions have caused damage to Kosovo, if there were even talks about the territory in that dialogue - said Haradinaj, stating that those actions are "not friendly, but hostile" - reports "Koha Ditore".

He claims that the taxes will cause Belgrade to recognize Kosovo.

- No one forgets the market, Kosovo market is valuable for Serbia, and we demand it to be the part of the comprehensive agreement. If the taxes are suspended, then we are giving the time to Serbia to postpone the dialogue - said Haradinaj.

The prime minister of provisional Pristina institutions stated that he never said "no" to America, but he said that the pressure shouldn't be done only on one side.

- It is true that America is not happy, but we are in a hurry. We are not the cause of the destructive behavior of Serbia - said Haradinaj, stating that "the pressure should be two-way"

According to his claims, with respect towards the US and Europe, Pristina has entered the "unconditional dialogue".
