The Appellate Court in Bitola reduced the sentence from 16 to 8 years in prison to Serbian citizen Bojan Ugrenovic (31) from Kraljevo, who killed Dimir Matiloski (26) from Ohrid on January 1, 2016.

Although sentenced, all connections to the murderer were lost from last summer, and the desperate mother of Dimir, Dragica Matilovska writes books to reduce the pain. She said that she is trying to preserve the memories of her lost son in that way while she waits for the justice that just won't arrive.

She promoted her third book "My life after the lost life", and all of the gathered funds will go to charity.

- I live for the justice to win, I live for my pen to represent the character, the kindness and the youth of my son. I am living the life of my child placed on the paper in order to be a humane work of happier tomorrow of innocent youth for the students who suffer from muscular dystrophy - said Dragica Matiloska.

Ugrenovic has been defending himself from freedom since September, 2 years ago, because the Basic court in Ohrid released him from custody. His passport was taken away, he was forbidden to leave the temporary residence in the Ambassador Hotel in Skopje.

Despite all of those measures, Ugrenovic never showed up on any repeated trials for the murder of Dimir Matiloski, since the Appellate court abolished the first verdict of the Basic court in Ohrid, which sentenced him to 16 years in prison, and it returned the case for retrial.

At a repeated trial, again without the presence of the killer, Ugrenovic was again sentenced to 16 years in prison, but the Bitola Court of Appeal has now halved that sentence, which has become final. Although disgruntled for reducing the sentence of her son's killer, Dimir's mother, Dragica Matiloska, hopes that the criminal will soon be behind bars. Bojan Ugrenovic is accused of killing a young man Dimir Matiloski from Ohrid on the first day of 2016.

He went to Ohrid to wait for the new year with his friends from Serbia, Mihajlo Pantovic (26) and G.P. (25. In the "craziest night", Bojan attacked Matiloski in front of the cafe of the hotel "Tabana", where he stayed with two friends.

The conflict first happened in the bar, and it looked like the situation has calmed down. Bojan intercepted the Macedonian in the middle of the street in front of the cafe, he knocked him to the ground, and then he continued to hit him with arms and legs while he was lying on the ground. Matiloski succumbed to serious injuries in the hospital.

After the fight, Ugrenovic returned to a hotel where two friends were waiting for him. To cover up the body, they first placed him in the room with their friends in the same object, and later on, to ensure that it is safe, they returned him to his room.

The police discovered clothes of the murderer, covered in blood. Ugrenovic admitted the guilt the first time when he was sentenced to 16 years in prison. He expressed regret for the criminal act.

Seven months later, on July 25th, 2017, on the repeated trial in the Basic court in Ohrid, he said that he doesn't feel guilty at all.

- My life of hell began with the murder of my son. My friends are guiding me through that dark tunnel. They have killed the dreams of a young 26-year-old man, to get a job, to get married, to have children. I will never hold a grandchild in my arms. The murderer of my son killed me as well. He has closed my home. I live alone. I don't know what's worse, the morning, the day, or the night - said Dragica Matiloska at the promotion of her third book.
