A student told something to the physics professor and he immediately slapped her! Scandal in the Seventh Belgrade Gymnasium

Chaos emerged in the Seventh Belgrade Gymnasium when a professor slapped two students and it allegedly occurred when J.K. (16) complained about her grade in the test. The situation got out of control, and the students said that the professor behaved like this before. They described in detail what has happened on Thursday class.

- There was chaos. We had physics for our third class, J.K. complained about her grade on the test and she told professor Obradovic that his way of grading is not alright. Obradovic shouted that she is not behaving and told her to calm down, and revolted girl asked what kind of authority is he if he has to shout at her. Then he slapped her, so hard that she almost fell down! That is when the boys jumped to defend her and one of them slapped him, but then Obradovic charged at two more students. It was terrible, the girls were screaming - said one of the students who were present during the incident and he added that they had a lot of problems with professor Obradovic:

- He is very strange, sometimes he comes to the class and he is very calm, he is not paying attention at us at all, and sometimes he is just yelling, he was even kicking the tables! He obviously had anger management problems. Some of us complained that he meets them in the hallway and puts his hand on the shoulder out of the blue, he did that during classes as well. We complained many times to the principal.

The Ministry of Education says that after this incident, the lectures at the 7th Belgrade High School were soon normalized and that Ambulance examined the students and concluded that they had no injuries.

- Due to high pressure and excitement, the professor was escorted to the Emergency Center accompanied by the police. He also requested the principal to terminate his employment for personal reasons. He violated Articles 111 and 112 of the Law on the Basis of the Education System in Educational Institutions, prohibiting physical, psychological, social, sexual, digital and any other violence, abuse, and neglect of students, for which a fine is prescribed, suspension, or termination of employment - it was stated from the Ministry of education.

The principal of the Seventh Belgrade Gymnasium, Miroslav Markicevic, points out that they do not tolerate violence at school and that this professor will not work with students until the end of the procedure.

- We heard a noise in the classroom, I went with the assistant principal, and it never crossed my mind that a professor can hit a student. The school police officer came behind us, which separated the professor from the students. We immediately called the police, the ambulance, and the class teacher, who helped us contact the parents. When we left the classroom, the school pedagogue remained in the classroom so they could talk. The professor said that he understands what he did and he feels guilt - said Markicevic.
