Davor P., who was arrested on August 25 as a suspect in a quadruple murder in the village of Jabukovac, was discovered purely by chance during a polygraph examination. Allegedly, Davor's original intent was to rob one of his victims, Raja Kazimirovic, and "take off" - however, he was "forced" to shoot when Kazimirovic's niece started calling for help.

The investigation of the unprecedented crime had proceeded from questioning everyone in the village with whom Raja was not on friendly terms. As Belgrade newspaper Novosti was told by a source close to the investigation, everyone underwent a polygraph examination.

Then the police began questioning everyone who had recently committed any crime. However, very soon Davor turned up on their list, because he was already known to the police.

He was called to the police station and failed to pass the lie detector test.

"Davor was invited by phone to come to the police. He came completely relaxed, but the polygraph showed that he was hiding something. As the police 'pressed' him to speak, he immediately confessed to the crime. The killer said he could hardly wait to confess because he could no longer live in fear. Davor took the police to a place where he kept his arsenal of weapons and explained to them what happened at the Kazimirovic home," the source close to the investigation said.

Allegedly, Davor said he had no intention of killing anyone. When he entered Kazimirovic's home, he told the police, his goal was to rob Kazimirovic because he knew he had a large sum of money. However, he found three sleeping women in the house. When Raja's niece saw him she started screaming and calling for help. According to investigation sources, Davor said that he fired - out of fear.

HE MISSED TWO WADS OF MONEY

At the property of Raja Kazimirovic (72), one of four victims of the massacre in the village of Jabukovac, in the Negotin region in eastern Serbia, the police found a total of 10,000 euros in cash in two places, which Davor had missed, Novosti reports. According to unofficial information, the motive for the crime was monetary gain, and it's suspected that around 100,000 euros had been stolen. Despite that, a large sum of money remained on the farm, indicating that information about Kazimirovic was given to the attacker who knew exactly where the main stash was.
