Belgrade Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic says the City will continue organizing free cultural programs next weekend - this time, on Saturday at Usce, Belgraders will be able to attend a spectacular concert, "Disney Fantasia," performed by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.

"With this concert we continue to organize the already traditional open-air concerts of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra," Vesic said on TV Happy.

He said that on Sunday, in the reconstructed Republic Square, the National Theater will organize "Theater on the Square - a Portal to the Ages" - when citizens will be able to follow the programs of the Opera, the Ballet and the Drama of the National Theater.

Vesic pointed out that this will be the fourth weekend in a row with free cultural programs at Usce, and that so far, 960,000 people followed all the programs over the three weeks.

"This has never happened in the recent history of Belgrade. Our city is not only developing and building and has become the business capital of the Western Balkans, we also have the same primacy in culture," Vesic said.

He announced that Vanessa May's concert will be held at the Sava Center on October 10, as part of the 51st BEMUS.

- The concert by British violinist Vanessa May, who has already sold about 10 million albums in her career, will be a real spectacle that we are all looking forward to," said Vesic.

He also pointed out that Marina Abramovic's large retrospective exhibition "The Cleaner" - which will be held from September 21 to January 20, 2020 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade - will be the largest cultural event in the region.

"An exhibition of a Belgrade woman, Marina Abramovic, is natural in her city, but it is also a great honor for us, because she is an artist who has gained worldwide fame," Vesic emphasized.

He added that the exhibition chronologically follows all phases of Marina Abramovic's complex 50-year career - from her early paintings and conceptual works, through solo performances and collaborative work with Ulay, to the cult works from Abramovic's solo career.
