Which regional country has lowest minimum wage, and where is Serbia relative to others

The lowest minimum wage in the countries of the region is received by workers in North Macedonia, and it's 203 euros.

According to the latest available data, the minimum wage in Bosnia and Herzegovina is 208 euros, in Albania 211 euros, while in Montenegro it has recently been increased to 222 euros, the Skopje portal Fokus.mk reports, citing regional media.

In Serbia, the lowest wage is currently around 230 euros, but it's expected to increase by 11 percent next year, so that it will reach 255 euros starting on January 1.

Former Yugoslav republics that have joined the EU, like Croatia and Slvenia, have significantly higher minimum wages.

Croatian workers can thus earn at least 405 euros a month, while in Slovenia the minimum wage far exceeds the average wage in most countries in the region as it stands at 667 euros, according to the report.
