Strong earthquake hits Bosnia, too: Epicenter near Nevesinje, tremors felt in Dalmatia and Serbia

After a series of earthquakes in Albania, which were slightly felt in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, a stronger tremor took place at about 10.19 am. Telegraf.rs has learned that children have been sent home from school, while some buildings have been damaged.

The news of this earthquake has also been confirmed by an official app that monitors earthquakes in all parts of the world.

The epicenter was 11 kilometers northwest of the town of Nevesinje.

The 5.4 magnitude earthquake was brief but powerful, according to eyewitnesses.

The tremor lasted for about ten seconds and was felt by residents of Dubrovnik in Croatia as well as in some cities in Serbia.

The damage to property is extensive. Photographs taken at the scene show damage to some of the buildings. For example, walls and ceilings have cracked in the Risto Prorokovic Elementary School in Nevesinje.
