Only Fools and Horses' Boycie tells Telegraf if he'd rather buy Yugoslav Riesling or Albanian radio

John Chalis, the famous Boycie from the British hit sitcom "Only Fools and Horses" is currently in Serbia, where he is filming his documentary, "Being Boyci in Belgrade." Exclusively for Telegraf.rs readers, the famous comedian analyzed some episodes of the series, especially the one that is dearest to the hearts of the fans here - the moment Yugoslavia is mentioned, more specifically the Yugoslav Riesling - another of the dubious items that Del Boy is hawking in the market.

We asked Chalis what he would rather buy from Del - Romanian wine, Yugoslav Riesling or Albanian radios for buses?

"Oh, I would absolutely not buy anything from Del. I wouldn't trust him with anything. Remember, they went to school together, Boycie knows Del. And Boycie can buy anything he wants. He always has money," Chalis replied.

When asked by Telegraf's reporter if it was okay to be a yuppie - on behalf of his character, Chalis replied, "Yes, of course."

"I enjoyed that snobbery. But the real yuppie was Del. Del wanted to be a yuppie," he replied.

Chalis explained that this is his second time visiting Serbia.

"I was in Belgrade about seven years ago, and I realized how popular 'Only Fools and Horses' was, which was amazing to me, especially since we don't speak the same language, yet we have the same sense of humor. It was a great experience for me. People were shouting out to me on the street, 'Aaa, Boycie!' Many times they asked to have a picture taken with me, I thank them very much," he said.

He adds, however, that no one has called out "Marlene!" to him, which, in addition to his unique laugh, is probably something Boycie is best known for. But his popularity in Serbia was obvious when an enthusiastic crowd gathered at the Usce Shopping Center in Belgrade yesterday to hang out with the actor.

As Telegraf.rs has found out, Chalis' visit to Serbia will not be limited to Belgrade. He will visit other places in our country, especially those with murals and graffiti dedicated to the series, something that the actor often tweets about.
