Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced a groundbreaking ceremony for tomorrow for a new factory and development center of the German company Brose in Pancevo, and stressed that its workers will receive an average wage of 1,900 euros.

A contract for Brose's investment worth more than 180 million euros, which should create 1,100 jobs in Pancevo, was signed at the end of November 2019.

Vucic says that now is the time to lift up Banat (region in northeastern Serbia), adding that, on the other hand, the neighboring region of Srem is far above, not counting Novi Sad, and that unemployment rate in Ruma, Indjija, Pecinci, Pazova and other towns is below 5 percent.

This factory will produce cooling fan modules for steering system and oil pump engines, as well as electronics. Brose is the 4th largest family-owned supplier of the automotive industry worldwide.

The company develops and manufactures mechatronic systems for car doors and seats, as well as electric motors and electronics for steering, brake, gearbox and engine cooling systems, among others.

About 26,000 workers in 64 locations in 24 countries achieve a turnover of 6.2 billion euros, while one in two vehicles in the world contains at least one Brose product.
