Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and all members of her cabinet have been tested for coronavirus, and the results showed no cases of infection in the prime minister's immediate environment, the daily Blic reports.

After the first case of coronavirus infection in the Serbian government was discovered - it was Branislav Blazic, the state secretary in the Ministry of Environment - a decision was made to test the entire cabinet as a precaution.

The samples were taken on Tuesday and Wednesday and they awaited the results in self-isolation. Only when confirmation came that all tests came back negative, members of the prime minister's team returned to work.

Although Blazic's office is not at the government HQ in Nemanjina Street but in New Belgrade, the advice of experts was to test everyone.

Brnabic's Media Advisor Mladen Basic was one of those tested. He says samples were taken from everyone and that everyone followed the doctor's recommendations until the results arrived.

"We worked from home, on the phone, everyone, including the prime minister. Only after the results showed that we were not infected with coronavirus, we returned to work," says Basic.

Until she received the results, the prime minister was also in isolation, and immediately after the good news appeared at the crisis HQ with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Everyone from the Ministry of the Environment who had contact with Blazic was also sent into isolation, while Environment Minister Goran Trivan himself only contacted Blazic and everyone else with whom the secretary of state was in touch in person by phone.
