Covid hospitals in Belgrade; entire Clinical Center becomes Emergency Center; VMA accepts civilians

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar held a meeting this morning with directors of hospitals in Serbia, and as we have learned out, the Zemun Hospital will become a Covid hospital and will have a triage center, like the Clinical-Hospital Center (KBC) Bezanijska Kosa, which is already in the Covid system.

Belgrade's Institute for Orthopedic- Surgical Diseases Banjica will also get ready during the weekend to, if necessary, be turned into a Covid hospital starting on Monday.

If necessary, hospitals in the towns of Pozarevac, Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka and Arandjelovac will be included starting next week.

It has also been agreed at the meeting today that the entire Clinical Center of Serbia (KCS) will be turned into the Emergency Center in order to treat emergency cases and patients suffering from malignant diseases, while the Military Medical Academy (VMA) will be on duty to serve civilian healthcare every day.
