Details and first pictures of horrific accident in Miljakovac: Smashed windshield, traces of blood

A serious accident occurred on the turnaround of a bus on line 48 in Miljakovac shortly before noon, when a woman and a bus driver were injured. As Telegraf.rs has learned, the bus had pinned the woman against a tree.

According to our information, the driver also got stuck in the bus, so firefighters had to pull him out. Both suffered serious injuries. The woman has been transported to an intensive care unit.

As can be seen from the scene of the accident, due to the force of the impact, the front part of the bus fell apart completely, with the glass shattered to pieces.

Traces of blood were seen on the windshield.

"At around 11:50 at the terminus in Miljakovac, which is located in the Miljakovac forest, a vehicle on line 48 was involved a traffic accident. The accident happened at the very terminus, and there were no passengers in the vehicle. Driver M.DJ. (57) started the vehicle and one person was injured outside the bus, at the stop, while the bus driver was also injured," Drago Tosic from the Consortium of Private Carriers told Telegraf.

"An ambulance and the police went to the field and helped on the spot, and we thank them for their quick intervention. All circumstances will be determined after an investigation. Otherwise, this vehicle is new, from 2019, and the driver has more than 10 years experience," he added.
