Horrific accident in Nis factory: Machine falls on 54-year-old worker, killing him instantly

A worker has been killed at the Johnson Electric factory in Nis around 6:30 pm, when a piece of machinery, a press, fell onto him.

As we have learned, the man was killed when the machine fell on him during the process of its assembly.

The man succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The police confirmed the event, and it has been announced that the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office was also informed about this event.

A labor inspector is expected to arrive to determine whether there had been any omissions in the application of workplace safety measures.

According to a Telegraf reporter who is at the scene, production has been suspended for the time being, while the factory yard is full of upset workers.

Johnson Electric is a factory of electric motors based in Hong Kong, which came to Nis in 2014.
