Special adviser to the US president, Richard Grenell, and the head of the DFC, Adam Boehler, expect continuity in the realization of the agreement from Washington, they point out that it is not a partisan matter, while Boehler stresses that it suits Congress, not the US president's administration.

"What you have seen is the commitment of the US government," Grenell stressed during a press conference, when asked how he thinks the implementation of the agreement will be ensured, considering the elections in the US.

That this is about the commitment of the US government, says Grenell, is also evident in the fact that only two weeks after the Washington agreement, the largest since the time of Jimmy Carter and perhaps in the entire history of relations between the two countries, US delegation arrived in Serbia.

That, said Grenell, shows the full attention that the US government is paying to this region.

"I also pay tribute to President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, because they are committed to diving deep into this matter from the perspective of the Serbian side regarding what can be moved forward. The most important are the chambers (of commerce) themselves and the private sector, in terms of the momentum of opening up to the possibilities in the private sector," Grenell added.

He recalled that President Donald Trump is the author of the vision to move the talks between Belgrade and Pristina towards economic normalization.

He said that this is a process that will last 10 to 20 years and whose results will be seen.

"You will see that jobs will be created very soon. Those will be highly paid jobs in energy, ecology, infrastructure," he added.

Grenell said that this is an opportunity for many educated Serbs in the United States and Europe to, after receiving their education, return and start a business in their homeland.
