The family of Jovo Kecman (51), a trainer and gym owner, who disappeared without a trace in the Belgrade neighborhood of Mali Mokri Lug on September 24, suspects that criminals are behind his case, because, allegedly, at the time he was last seen, Jovo carried a large sum of money.

Kecman, who was a well-known instructor and trainer to many public figures, went missing almost a month ago, and the family sent an appeal for help through the "Missing Serbia" ("Nestali Srbije") website.

"My son left the house on September 24 at around 7 pm and told me that he was going to Mali Mokri Lug with a friend. He took at least 16,000 euros in his pocket. I took out a loan earlier and borrowed some money to give it to him. He didn't tell me why he needed so much money, and I didn't even ask because I trust him," Mile Kecman, Jovo's father, told Kurir.

He says he is very worried about everything.

"My son did not tell me that someone was threatening him, asking for money or blackmailing him. He only mentioned once that he had a personal problem, and I thought it had to do with romantic problems," says Mile.

As he explains, he reported the disappearance to the police along with Jovo's girlfriend and a lawyer.

"At first I was confused and panicked that he was gone, I was completely lost. I told the police everything I knew. No one knows where my son is, and I am desperate. I thought that maybe the disappearance had something to do with some girls, because Jovo was always popular among women, that maybe he went away with someone. However, now I suspect that he got involved in something that has to do with criminals," says the father.

He added that his son liked to live well.

"He ran a gym, lived a healthy life, did not take drugs and despised drug addicts, did not smoke or drink. However, he loved a luxurious life and always had a little money, he thought he was not earning enough," Mile said and noted that he opens the gym with Jova's girlfriend every day, but that since he disappeared, almost no one comes to train.
