The PM-designate, Ana Brnabic, said today that the basic goal of the new government is a better quality of life for the citizens of Serbia, and added that its composition is an indicator of how much the government has "listened to the people."

"The new government is an indicator of how much we listened to the people in Serbia, how much we, despite the fact that we once again gained the trust of citizens with the 'Aleksandar Vucic - For our children' list, heard that many things needed to change, that it was necessary to replace some ministers, even though they worked well, so that new energy would come in," Brnabic told TV Pink.

She said that the new government has 11 new ministers, that there may be 12, and added that half the cabinet consists of completely new people who have not had anything to do with politics so far.

Commenting on Vucic's proposal to make former Democratic Party official Gordana Comic the new minister of human and minority rights and social dialogue, Brnabic assessed that Vucic thus "opened the door and windows to dialogue."

Brnabic pointed out that the SNS is the only party that is constantly changing and that is not afraid to invest in young people, adding that she is proud to be a member of that party.

As she stressed, it is a party that introduces new people, invests in young people, is not afraid to open doors and give important portfolios to non-partisan figures.

"If some media, political parties, analysts were a little more objective and welcoming of it, I think then some other parties would open up to the same things and as a society we would progress faster because the SNS and the Government of Serbia cannot 'pull' everything alone," said Brnabic, and concluded:

"Did we do everything right? Could we have done something different and better? Undoubtedly, politics is a matter of compromise, but from one government to the next, above all thanks to Aleksandar Vucic and the SNS, we went into those changes more and more courageously, for the sake of Serbia progressing faster and faster, and our results show that from year to year."
