The number of people newly infected with coronavirus in Serbia today is slightly lower compared to previous days: There have been a total of 5,067 new cases, while 15,061 patients were tested.

However, the percentage of those infected in relation to the number of tests performed (data for the last 24 hours) is still very high: about 34 percent.

Another 38 patients died, which is a single day record since the beginning of the pandemic, and thus the number of deaths increased to 1,237. However, a significant increase in the number of those infected leads to a decrease in the mortality rate, which is now 0.98 percent.

There are 216 patients on ventilators. There are 6,329 people in hospitals.
