Firefighters in Zrenjanin work to rescue a female swan injured on frozen lake
The bird suffered injuries to her left wing
Yesterday morning at around 9:30 am near the court building in Zrenjanin a hunting dog attacked a swan on a lake, and passers-by who tried unsuccessfully to distract him, eventually called the fire brigade to help, writes the ZRklik portal.

Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and tried to approach the swan with the help of a rubber boat and rescue her, but the animal, considering that she was very scared, dodged them.
As it later turned out, it was an injured female swan that workers from the Public Institution Nature Reserves and the Communal Police lated managed to pull out of the water.
"A wound was found under the left wing and the bird will be transferred to the Provincial Institute for Nature Protection, and after that to the Palic Zoo for rehabilitation," said Nature Reserves.
