Initial quantities of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus meant for the Serb Republic (RS) arrived today, said Dusko Perovic, the head of the RS representative office in Moscow.

Perovic said that the second shipment of Russian vaccines should arrive in the second half of February.

Head of the Department for Communications and International Cooperation at the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Ratko Kovacevic confirmed for RTRS that the vaccines are at the Sarajevo airport, in a chamber under a temperature regime.

"Considering that this is an emergency import, a decision of the RS Ministry of Health is still awaited so that the vaccines can be transported to Banja Luka," said Kovacevic.
