Father suspected of raping 2 underage daughters tries to commit suicide while in custody in Pancevo

P.P., a 41-year-old from the village of Sumarak near Kovin, who is suspected of raping his two underage daughters, tried to kill himself while in police custody in Pancevo, it has been unofficially confirmed for Telegraf.rs.

He was supposed to be brought for questioning before the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo this morning, but he slit his wrists at the police station, where he was detained after his arrest.

The man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of raping his two underage daughters. The grandfather of two victims reported the case to the police. He said that he trusts the police and that is why decided to tell them what he knew about his son-in-law raping the girls last year. They are now 15 and 16 years old.

The police reacted immediately, arresting the suspect, and in the presence of employees of the Center for Social Welfare, inspectors with a special license for work with minors interviewed the two sisters, who confirmed the allegations from the report.
