Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic says that the Sputnik V vaccine is safe and can be used for all citizens over the age of 18, including those older than 60.

Nenad Popovic, who had meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Health of Russia in Moscow yesterday, told RTS that people older than 60 can receive the Sputnik V vaccine.

"The Sputnik V vaccine is safe and can be used for all citizens over the age of 18, including those older than 60," Popovic stressed.

He said that the day before, during the meeting in the Ministry of Health of Russia, which was attended by experts from the Gamaleya Institute and other structures, the Serbian delegation received all clarifications, all official letters and documentation confirming that the Sputnik V vaccine has been safe for citizens older than 60 since December 25 and can be used immediately.

"We forwarded all the documentation to the authorities in the Republic of Serbia and thanks to the hard work of experts from the Agency for Drugs and Medical Devices and experts in the Torlak Institute, all permits were issued last night so that the Sputnik vaccine could be used for citizens over 60," said Popovic.
