Serbian football players managed to come from behind in the game played in Belgrade against the Republic of Ireland last night, thanks to an Aleksandar Mitrovic masterpiece, who started the game as a substitute.

"Mitrogol" scored twice in a short period of time making it 2-1 for Serbia, and entered history of the national team, equalizing Stjepan Bobek's record as top goalscorer.

For Mitrovic, this was the 38th goal scored in the national squad shirt, as many as legendary Bobek has to his name.

The striker, who plays for Fulham, entered the game shortly before he scored the first time, as if head coach Dragan Stojkovic Piksi felt that this match was made for Mitrovic, and it turned out he was right. Our guys performed a quick three-move action about 40 meters from the goal, Mitrovic saw the Irish goalkeeper running out, and then what followed was probably his best move in the national team jersey - a long-range lob and a goal that caused the delirium of the team and the coach.

Take a look at Mitrovic's magic - a player who obviously misses playing and scoring goals.

Shortly afterwards, Mitrovic scored another one, this time jumping higher than the Irish defender, and finding the back of the opponent's net with a header.

What a game our striker has had.

Before Mitorovic's brace, Dusan Vlahovic scored the equalizer making it 1-1,  and this opening World Cup qualifier ended with Serbia's 3-2 victory over the Republic of Ireland.
