Horrific photos of Indjija fire: 500 sq meters burning, 2 people hospitalized for smoke inhalation

A fire broke out today in Vinogradarska Street in Indjija in a used car parts store, that spreads on about 500 square meters. According to Sremska TV's sources, firefighters from Indjija, Ruma, Stara Pazova and Sremska Mitrovica are all taking part in extinguishing the blaze. There were 6 vehicles and 15 firefighters at the scene.

Everyone who lives in the immediate vicinity has been evacuated, and it is presumed that the fire broke out during welding works.

Gas supply has been switched off in order to prevent an explosion in the entire settlement, Radio Television of Vojvodina has learned unofficially.

Two people have been taken to the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Indjija Healthcare Center due to smoke inhalation, it has been unofficially confirmed for Sremska TV, and these patients are in a stable condition and conscious.

Ambulance teams from Indjija and the Beska checkpoint were deployed at the scene of the fire. All available teams were on standby to receive the injured.
