According to the latest information, coronavirus has taken the life of another new mother in Serbia. As Telegraf.rs has learned, the woman, M.P. (27) from Zajecar, who gave birth to a healthy girl, passed away at the University Clinical Center in Nis. The now deceased mother was infected with coronavirus.

Earlier, in early April, the news of the death of D.T. (29) was reported about. As we wrote then, the new mother was connected to a ventilator five days after giving birth. Due to her serious condition, caused by the infection with coronavirus, she was connected to a ventilator, and gave birth by C- section in the KBC "Dragisa Misovic" in Belgrade. According to the data from April 7, the baby was stable and was at the Institute of Neonatology.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, two young women lost their lives in the past year. A pregnant woman from Doljevac (27) died on July 21, 2020 in KC Nis. The day before, her baby died just after getting born.

A week later, also from the consequences of coronavirus, a pregnant woman from Vranje (34) passed away, who was also hospitalized at this clinic. Due to her difficult condition, she gave birth by C-section to a boy of 900 grams. Fortunately, the baby recovered and was discharched home after a few months. After the death of af a nine-month-old baby from Vranje that happened at the University Children's Clinic in Tirsova Street in Belgrade on April 19, a nine-year-old boy died, too. The second death of a child infected with Covid was announced seven days later. As we have already reported, the boy had comorbidities.

A 21-year-old man from Vranje passed away a few days earlier from Covid - becoming the youngest victim of Covid in the town of Vranje.

Earlier, on January 21, a 12-year-old girl from Tutin passed away.

"Based on the complete clinical picture and the course of the disease in children, then the results of all tests, taking into account data on previously diagnosed diseases, it is most likely that in this case it was a fatal outcome caused by immune complications in the middle of previous SARS-COV-2 virus infection - the so-called multisystem inflammatory post-Covid syndrome (MIC-s)," the four-member commission from the Novi Pazar General Hospital stated at the time, in response to queries from the Telegraf.rs portal.
