In recent years, wood panels have become not only a desirable building material, but also one of the best solutions when it comes to weekend homes, cabins and small houses, which are increasingly in demand in Serbia.

Although the first association is that they're used to build mountain houses, it does not have to be so. They can also be suitable for the urban environment, and will certainly contribute to the quality of life.

When it comes to wood panel prefabricated houses of up to 60 square meters, all costs included, their price would be around 20,000 euros. And they can be ready in a month.

One of them will soon be on Cigota. Manojlo Vujovic, the investor, told Telegraf Biznis that he wanted to stress that this modern type of architecture can be applied in Serbia as well.

The project arose as an idea to create an oasis of hedonism in the pristine nature of Mt. Zlatibor, below the mountain peak, in the heart of the nature park.

As Vujovic revealed to us, three independent houses with 3 levels, 80 square meters each, will be a refuge for absolute relaxation and enjoyment.

A little farther away, a cabin is also planned, which is actually a prefabricated home made of wood panels that consist of cross-glued boards.

That Sein Studio house is a square building with a 5 by 5 meter base, designed as a resort for two or more people. The cabin is quite small, so the architectural goal was to create many different spaces and experiment with this limitation.

The finish is made of pine wood. This wood cabin has abundant natural light, which, thanks to a shortened platform, can be obtained from both the upper and the lower floor.

The roof consists of a single slope, which contributes to the simplicity of the entire building and to fast and efficient mass construction.

Water heating as well as an additional source of electricity will be provided through solar panels on the roof, but there is also a stove in the living area that will contribute to the atmosphere, especially in winter months. This wood cabin design took part in the Mini Home competition.
