Today marks the completion of works on the construction of Belgrade Tower (Serbian: Kula Beograd). The ceremony was attended by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

He announced the opening of a St. Regis hotel and apartments by mid-next year, which represents a small delay due to coronavirus. Exclusive brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci have also been announced, as well as restaurants. The tower will have 220 apartments and 305 parking spaces.

All those big brands are coming in August - Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali has confirmed it, too. The investor Eagle Hills' chairman, Emirati businessman Mohamed Alabbar, also attended the tour of Belgrade Tower today.

It has been pointed out that Belgrade Tower changes its shape through 10 floors, curving by 90 degrees. This rotation symbolically represents the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers in the Serbian capital.

The tower is an homage to Belgrade, and will become home to the prestigious hotel and branded St. Regis apartments, which should raise the level of housing in Serbia, but also in the region, to a completely new level.

"What is especially important for me is that currently about 2,200 workers are employed on this construction site," said Vucic and added that it is by far the largest construction site in the whole of South Eastern Europe.
