A meeting of the Crisis HQ set up to handle the coronavirus epidemic will be held tomorrow, it has been confirmed for Telegraf.rs.

As we found out, members of the HQ will meet tomorrow at 4 pm. The media are reporting that there is a possibility of introducing new measures, and at this session, the return of students to schools in the next school year should be discussed. The minister of education has already spoken about that, stating that "it may not be possible to organize the next school year in a regular way."

Epidemiologists are warning about the Delta strain of the virus and calling on citizens to get vaccinated before the fall, when they are afraid of a new flaring up of the infection.

State Secretary in the Ministry of Health Mirsad Djerlek previously said that citizens have focused their attention on vacations, which he says he can understand because of the long exposure to stress due to the fear of getting sick. However, he said that the possibility of infection is higher in well-known summer resorts than in Serbia, where about 300 patients with Covid are currently receiving hospital treatment.

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic recently announced that it is possible the Crisis HQ will make a decision on the third dose of the vaccine, on the recommendation of the Expert Committee for Immunization.

"You cannot ignore the fact that there is a vaccine that can be given to people older than 12 and that this is recommended. Our whole life depends on vaccination," epidemiologist Predrag Kon said earlier.
