An unusual accident happened in Irig, when a woman ended up in the hospital after a wheel fell off.

Spasenija O. (85) from Irig was sitting on a bench in the park, but soon ended up in the hospital when a wheel that fell off a truck and injured her. She was immediately taken care of at the General Hospital in Sremska Mitrovica, an injury to her left knee was treated and she was released for home treatment and given therapy.

The woman who most likely wanted to enjoy the morning air in the park, which is located along the highway, and could not believe in her worst nightmare that she would be hit by a truck wheel.

"While a truck was passing by from the direction of Novi Sad, the last wheel fell off from the trailer, rolled over and hit an old woman who was sitting on a park bench at the time," Novosti reports.

The medical team in the Healthcare Center in Irig went to the scene and took Spasenija to the hospital in Sremska Mitrovica, where an injury to her left knee, that fortunately did not involve a fracture, was diagnosed.

After the police investigation, the truck was moved to a place that would not endanger other participants in traffic, while what led to the rear wheel falling off will be determined in further investigation.
