It is impermissible and it is not ethical for a health worker not to be protected and to infect someone with coronavirus, epidemiologist and member of the Crisis HQ Predrag Kon said today.

"How can someone be a health worker without being vaccinated? Not acceptable. Associations, unions should also think about that, and not talk about coercion," Kon told TV K1.

He added that a wrong impression has been created among the public that someone was forcing someone to undergo mandatory vaccination, pointing out that this is not what that is about, but about preserving the health of the entire society.

"I don't understand why it's disturbing for some. A decision has to be made, we have a vaccine that can be administered from the age of 12, what more is expected?," Kon asked.

He called on young people to receive the vaccine and to stop thinking about whether there is an epidemic, because those older than 20 can get the same disease as the oldest.

He also asked why faculties and schools are not inviting students to get vaccinated.

"The topic is not the violation of some rights, this is about protecting the health of the entire society, because the situation will only start to worsen in the fall when collectives are formed," the epidemiologist stressed.

Kon underlined that it is not impossible to avoid the fourth wave, because, he says, the situation is still in our hands.
