Erdogan arrives in Sarajevo, pays tribute to Alija Izetbegovic

The Turkish president is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)

According to the program of the visit to BiH of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wh has arrived in Sarajevo, he will first visit the grave of the Bosniak leader Alija Izetbegovic at the Kovaci cemetery.

In addition to meeting with officials, Erdogan will attend the wedding of the daughter of SDA leader Bakir Izetbegovic in Sarajevo, and, as previously reported by local media, he will be a witness at the marriage ceremony set to take place in a mosque, according to Sharia rules.

Then, as planned, he will pray the important Muslim prayer on Friday in the Bascarsija mosque dating back to the 16th century, which has been restored by Turkey's Directorate General of Foundations of Waqfs.

Afterwardds, a meeting is planned with members of the Presidency of BiH, Zeljko Komsic, Sefik Dzaferovic and Milorad Dodik.

And after the meeting and a working dinner, a press conference should be held.

The welcome ceremony for Erdogan, with military honors, is planned at 5:30 pm in Musala Street in Sarajevo, Sarajevo based N1 TV reported.
