Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and National Flag marked in Washington DC

On the occasion of the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, the Serbian flag was raised at the residence of Serbian Ambassador in Washington Marko Djuric.

Djuric posted a video on Twitter showing the raising of the Serbian flag.

"In the Serbian residence in the heart of Washington, with the sounding of the Serbian national anthem and the raising of the Serbian national flag high - a symbol of freedom and unity of our people, the celebration of our Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag begins," Djuric wrote.

He called on all citizens of Serbia, Serbs and friends of Serbia around the world to symbolically change the photos of their profiles on social networks on this day.

"Our tricolor has always been a symbol of freedom and honor, and I am proud that it is becoming a symbol of the future," said Djuric.
