A meeting of the Crisis HQ will be held in the Palace of Serbia tomorrow at 3 pm, and the day before, there is speculation about the topics that could be on the table in front of the members of this body. It is certain that Omicron, a new strain of coronavirus, will be discussed, which is why the session has been scheduled urgently, as well as the school break, while the media write that it is possible that mandatory Covid passes will be required starting earlier in the day in hospitality venues, as well as that their application could be extended to other businesses.

Reports say that doctors will demand that Covid passes should be required around the clock, and that a compromise solution could be making them mandatory starting at 6 pm, and extending them to gyms, cinemas, hairdressing salons...

As Telegraf.rs has learned, even though some members of the Crisis HQ have held this position for a long time, this will not be a topic that will be insisted on tomorrow, considering that Covid numbers are declining in Serbia.

"The epidemiological situation is better, which does not mean that all measures should be abandoned. Coronavirus is still a threat, especially the Omicron strain, which can turn the situation around. For now, there is no chance that Covid certificates will be required 24 hours a day, and hardly even from 6 pm. Also, there is no talk yet about expanding the list of venues where they would be mandatory," a source from the Crisis HQ has told Telegraf.rs.

The meeting will discuss checks of passengers coming from countries that are at risk due to the Omicron strain, as we reported yesterday.

Also, the final decision on the winter school break should be made - whether it will start on December 20 or 10 days earlier, or if children will go to school as planned until December 31.

When Covid passes were introduced at the end of October, they were first mandatory in hospitality establishments from 10 pm, and since early November, from 8 pm.
