The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade, Aleksandr Botsan Kharchenko, says that Moscow calls on Pristina to stop with its irresponsible behavior and continue a normal dialogue with Belgrade, reports Tanjug.

"I agree that the reason for the delay in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is the unwillingness of the provisional institutions of self-government in Kosovo to hold serious talks. We proceed from the fact that the Brussels dialogue, organized in accordance with a resolution of the UN General Assembly, has a potential that has not been used," said the Russian diplomat.

According to him, it is important that facilitators and other stakeholders underline that Albanian leaders should fulfill their previous obligations, primarily those related to the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities.

"Ignoring this obligation harms Pristina itself and we expect them to understand that as soon as possible," Botsan Kharchenko said.

He said Pristina's attempts to destabilize the situation, including the raids by local police special forces in northern Kosovo, only create more tensions.

"We regret that those who make such decisions do not consider their possible serious implications," said the Russian ambassador.
